Experience Two: Gorilla Habituation — Eight Hours Inside a Family's World
Gorilla Trekking gives you one hour with the gorillas. The Gorilla Habituation Experience gives you four hours, and the difference is more than just time. It’s the difference between a memorable encounter and a truly life-changing experience.
The Habituation Experience, only available in the Rushaga sector, lets you visit a gorilla family that is still getting used to people. These gorillas aren’t fully habituated yet. They are wild and in the middle of a long process of becoming familiar with humans. Your presence is still new to them, their behavior is less influenced by people, and what you see is as close to untouched gorilla life as anyone can witness.
The permit for this experience is USD 1,500 per person, with a maximum of four guests per session.
